Read the following passage and summarize it into one third of its length using the proportional reduction technique. Paraphrase all the important details in logical order using own words to show your understanding of the given text.
-“Carrying life on and on is the will of Allah. That is why He has created life in a variety of forms. The oceans are rich with various life forms, ranging from the tiny organisms to the largest mammal, the blue whale; waters of the oceans display a wonderful diversity.
The land is also home to different species of animals, birds and reptiles, each with its own beauty and characteristics. Man, though also termed as a social animal is the most complex of these all with higher intelligence, feelings and emotions to think and perceive issues pertaining to life and a will to resolve these for making it a better place and hence is the supreme creation of Allah.
Ever since the development of science and technology, man has continuously sought to discover the hidden truth about life as mysteries of all kinds have always stimulated him to an ever increasing quest for their solutions by knowing more and more and he understands that life in all forms is the greatest gift from Allah.
Man has always taken steps in many ways for the embellishment of his home; the earth and to help sustain life on earth with an understanding that this diversity is the reason for the beauty of the planet, yet in doing so, there have been things otherwise. Man has also done much damage as well. It is he, who has invented bombs and weapons and brought wars, destruction and has killed his fellow human beings. It is he, who has killed animals to the verge of extinction. It is he, who has cut down trees, but not to deny the truth it is ultimately he, who is also the preserver.
Actually all goodness depends upon knowledge. We start knowing the difference between what should and what should not be done with the increase of awareness, which only education can bring about.
We must take measures to increase awareness for keeping the beauty and peace of this planet intact by cultivating in us the worth of life, more and more, be it in any form and what to talk of life of the fellow humans, our brethren. Yes, we will have to hold the cardinal values high; the love and respect for life on earth so as to make this world a better place as intended by our creator.
