There was once a man of the Goala caste, who had an only daughter. The daughter was married with a lot of pomp and show, but even after 10 years of marriage, she had not borne a child. The woman, soon went into depression. At this her parents asked her why she was weeping the entire day. To this the woman replied that she had never worn clothes made of dusty cloth' and that her parents could do nothing to cure that. Hearing this her father went to all the cloth merchants in the region to get the dusty cloth" for his daughter. Since no such cloth was available. a clever cloth merchant, dirtied a new piece of cloth and gave it to the girl's father. The father gave it to his daughter. The daughter cried," You do not understand father what I meant was that God has not given to me what he alone can give. The dusty cloth means cloth of a mother made dusty by the feet of her child. The old parents then understood the grief of their child and realized that only God could help her. They they sang, Whatever the child of another may suffer, we care not. But our own child, we will take into our lap, even when it is covered with dust,​
