When I was younger, I was very shy. Whenever I even thought of speaking to new people about
anything, my whole head would turn red. I’m sure people could even see me withdrawn from
behind my back.
By the time I reached high school, I was so stressed out by the thought of answering questions
and doing group projects that my self-confidence problem would get in the way of my ability to
study:
I was nervous and agitated about being wrong and how people would react to me. My school and
work started to suffer. Because of my inferiority complex, I couldn’t go out. I was afraid of even
going for shopping. I couldn’t speak to people or make decisions. I hid myself away and felt like a
real loser.
