Answer. Jagan's answers were not correct.

Answer. The old houses are made of stone.

4. This KNIFE is quite sharp.

Answer. These knives are quite sharp.

5. The SCENERY is beautiful.

Answer. The Scenery is beautiful.

Note : Scenery is a word which is always used in singular form and has no plural form.

6.My mother said that CACTUS grow in desert .

Answer. My mother said that cacti grow in desert.

7.The ARMY was told to march forward.

Answer. Armies were told to march forward.

8. The LADY was in a cheerful mood.

Answer. Ladies were in a cheerful mood.

Note : "The " is an article which is used with particular noun which must be singular and it is not used with plural noun .
