Read the following statements and answer the question that follows the statement

(A) In Opuntia, stem as well as leaf is modified :-

⇒Wrong, because in opuntia it is only stem which is modified into green flat structure.

(B) Dionea plant can kill insects :-

⇒Correct, Dionea (venus fly trap) it can kill insects.

(C) In Calotropis more than three leaves are arranged around the node :-

⇒Wrong, It is arranged in opposite pattern.

(D) Compound leaves do not have buds in their axils :-

⇒Wrong, compound leaves have buds in their axils. Here's a point to remember that if they ask for leaflets then the buds are absent in axils of leaflets.

(E) Leaf bases are swollen in monocot plants :-

⇒Wrong, swollen leaf base is called pulvinus which is present in leguminous plants and it is not the characteristic feature of monocot plants.
