There was a small village called Nagpura. It had no rains for many years. There lived a young widow by name Kamala with her small son Anand. They had no money nor food. One day Kamala looked at her weak and thin son and cried. Anand was worried about his frail mother as she had not eaten for many days. Anand went begging for food to several houses but did not get anything. At last he saw an old lady making tasty chapatis. The kind, old lady gave him two chapatis. On the way he saw a hungry dog looking for food. He lovingly offered a chapati to the tiny dog. He returned home and mother and
son were trying to share the leftover chapati. Suddenly a poor beggar came and cried for food. They gave the leftover chapati to the beggar. After some time both of them fainted. When Kamala opened her eyes, she beheld a miracle. By the grace of God, her small hut had turned into a huge mansion filled with heaps
of grains and lovely garments. The lord himself had appeared before them in the.form of the hungry dog and poor beggar. Pleased with their compassion heblessed them.
