Read the following story carefully:
Once a woodcutter climbed up a tree to cut wood. The tree stood on the bank of a river.
As he was cutting the wood, suddenly his axe fell into the river. He tried to get it back but
failed. He began to weep. A Goddess emerged from the river and asked him why he was
weeping. The woodcutter told her everything. The Goddess dived into the river and
brought out a golden axe. She asked the woodcutter, "Is this your axe? Take it." The
woodcutter said, “No, this axe is not mine." The Goddess again dived, this time she
appeared with a silver axe. The woodcutter again refused to accept the silver axe. The
Goddess dived once again and brought out an iron axe. The woodcutter recognised his
axe and took it. The Goddess was pleased with the woodcutter's honesty. She gave him
all the three axes as reward.
