We also save the nation money when we conserve energy. About 80 percent of our crude oil requirements are got from imports which cost in crores each year. This cost can be considerably reduced for the nation.  

• For us energy saving has benefits in the form it enhances the quality of our life since we undertake energy effectual measures, our home is drier, warmer and appropriately ventilated, lowering the risk of diseases, mould growth, preventing the build-up of indoor pollutants, a key concern in spaces with high radon emanations. Energy efficacy measures are capable of creating utility savings over period. Utility/electricity rates fluctuate both annually and seasonally and have risen steadily in recent years. This trend will continue in the future too. Besides reducing our monthly electricity bills, undertaking energy efficacy enhancements in our home facilitates in insulating us from the financial effect of volatile sharp energy price surges which can happen in the future. There are many different ways of saving energy, a few of which are given below,

1. Using less heating and insulating our home and turning the heater off when we are not at home.
2. Turning off all devices such as radio, mixie, washing machine, TV etc. when we are not utilising them.
3. Saving water since water consumer energy for heating and to processing and transportation.
4. Walking or taking public transport to work or other places instead of taking the car and utilising fuel.
5. Going vegan and reducing the carbon footprint by consuming less meat.
6. Cutting down on global airplane travel as this leads to energy overuse.
