Read the given passage carefully and answer the questions that follow: The Vikings were the expert boat builders. They built large open boats that were pointed at each end. The boats were narrow and very long. This made them fast and easy to row. There was usually the crew of 60. Taking it in turns to row at 30 oars. These longboats were used for raiding and plundering along the coast of other countries. Boats for trading were wider and had higher sides than longboats. Each boat could carry four or five tonnes of cargo such as furs and travel thousands of kilometers.
