Read the interview of Astronaut, Sunita Williams and answer the questions.
Interviewer : How does gravity work in the space
Sunita Williams : Well, there is no gravity up here to speak of, so nothing pulls us down on the "floor" like it does on
Earth. Gravity the force that hold things onto the
planet gets weaker and weaker as we go further
away from the centre of the Earth. There is still
some gravity where we are and even as far as our
moon. That is why moon stays in orbit around the
Earth. We don't feel the gravity up here because it
is so much smaller than the force. We feel when we
are on the earth.
Interviewer : Have you discovered any new planet?
Sunita Williams : Unfortunately not so far. We need our large
telescopes and smaller spacecraft which are travelling
throughout our galaxy to see new planets. We are
closer to the Earth than our moon.
Question
(1) what Happens when we go further away from the centre of the earth ?
(2) why astronaut do not feel any gravitational force ?
(3) what astronaut needs to discover any new planet ?
Answers
Answer:
Explanation:
1) As you move away from the Earth, the pull of Earth's gravity weakens. Objects have mass and anything that has mass has gravity. The bigger the object, the stronger the force of gravity it exerts.
2) In space, astronauts and their spaceship still have mass and are still acted upon by Earth's gravity. In this sense, they still have weight, even though Earth's gravitational force is smaller in orbit than it is on Earth's surface (Box 1). However, they do not feel their weight because nothing is pushing back on them.
3) no, astronauts cant discover new planets because all the planets are discovered by scientists and earther.
a thanks and pls mark as brainliest
Answer:
(1) There is no gravitational force.(2)Astronout do not feel gravitational force because if there is gravitational force it pulls us.In space we could not feel something is pulling us.(3)Large telescopes and smaller spacecrafts.
