The doctor wanted his wife to be a rich and fat women. The reason behind is this, The doctor practice wasn't that good. Hence wanted his wife to be rich, to lead a beautiful life.The humorous reason for his wife being fat as per assumptions is If the doctor makes mistakes, The wife shouldn't be able to catch him, as he runs.
In reality, God willed otherwise. Doctors wife is a thin & reedy person. She was a sprinter. She possessed the gift of a sprinter.So finally doctor couldn't get his imaginations true.
