Once upon a time there lived a woodcutter. He earned his living by cutting woods and selling them in the market....
One day as usual he climbed a tree and started cutting a branch of a tree. While he was cutting the woods, his axe fell into the river.
The woodcutter searched his axe into the river but couldn’t find it. He started crying because he had no money to buy another axe.
At that moment a fairy appeared there and asked him the reason for his grief. He told her that his axe had fallen into the river.
The fairy jumped into the river and came out with a golden axe. The woodcutter told the fairy that it was not his axe.
Then the fairy again dived into the water and returned with a silver axe. He denied this one too. She once again went into the water and emerged with the wooden axe. Seeing his axe, the woodcutter became very happy and thanked the fairy. Impressed with his honesty, the fairy rewarded him with all the three axes.
