Read the passage and answer the following questions given below:
Penguins cannot fly. They are mostly found in the southern hemisphere, especially in
Antarctica. They can swim in water because their wings act like flippers They feed on fish
They spend about half of their lives on land and the other half in water. There are many
species of penguins The largest penguin is the Emperor Penguin The male stands about 1.1 m
tall and weighs 35kg. The smallest penguin is the Little Blue Penguin, which is the also known as
the Fairy Penguin .It is around 40cm tall and weighs around 1kg Penguins are popular around
the world. Their striking black and white body makes them very attractive. Penguins have been
the subject of many books, films and cartoons all around the world. They have no fear of
humans They are known to nest fearlessly near explorers without hesitation. This tendency is
perhaps because penguins have no land predators in Antarctica. But they are at risk from
predators in the sea and oceans, particularly the leopard seal.Penguins do not approach people
closer than three metres at which point they become nervous. Tourists to Antarctica are
therefore asked to keep that distance.
