Butterflies are insect with colourful Wings. They are found on most all over the world. Some butterflies live the whole life in one place. Other migrate long distance to escape cold winters.

A butterfly begins its life as an egg which hatches into Caterpillar. The Caterpillar eats a lot of leaves. As a Caterpillar gross , it sheds it's skin. Then it cover itself in a Chrysalis and remain like this for some time . In the Chrysalis, the Caterpillar changes. It grow six legs, an antenna, proboscis of and Wings . Then it Breaks out of the chrysalis as a butterfly . Each butterfly has four wings. The wings of butterfly Are of various colours and have diverse patterns . No 2 butterflies have the same Wings pattern. Butterflies fly from flower to flower in search of food . A butterfly unrolls it's proboscis to suck the sugary juice made by flowers . The justice is called nectar .
