New electronic gadgets have floated the market in the last few years. Every

day we find newspaper and magazines flooded with ads related to the latest

gadgets like mobiles, cameras, calculators, videos and what not. Companies keep

bringing out new versions of their products to multiply their profits. They also do

it to do discourage the resale of the older versions of their products. The youth

get hooked in by the much-hyped features of these gadgets. They go in for them

not because they need them but because they want to show off.

Each new gadget becomes for them a symbol of their riches. They forget

that it is not their own money they are spending to buy this gadgets but the

hard- earned money of their parents. And they have hardly any need for these

gadgets. For example, What would a students do with a mobile that has scores

of different features? What would he or she to do with a mobile with an inbuilt

camera? What would he or she to do with a variety of ringing tones?

All such gadgets are doing the youth an incalculable harm. They are wasting

not only the hard- earned money of their parents, but also their own valuable

time. And the purpose for which they use these gadgets doesn’t need to be

mentioned .Who doesn’t know about it ? It is up to the teenagers themselves to

keep away from such gadgets that do all harm and no good.
