F a long time he hid himself in the mountains and suffered a lot. One day, when hiding in the cave he felt very down-hearted. All had gone wROng and he almost made up his mind give up the struggle. When he was thinking so, he saw a spider trying to swing itself a long thread to the roof of the cave. It tried and tried, but always fell short. Bruce for his troubles for a minute, watching the little insects effort. At the ninth attempt it succeed "Brave!" cricd Bruce. "Surely I can go on trying like the spider. I will try again. And he did succeed and made his country free
