Two little boys found a walnut (CAICING/TERTZ). One said “The nut belongs to me, for I was the
first to see it" "No", replied the other, it belongs to me, since I picked it up with my own hands. A
young man was passing by and he heard their quarrel. He came up to them and mediated. He took
the nut and broke it. Then he said, "Here is a shell for him who was the first to see it, and here is
the other part of the shell for him who picked it up. As for the kernel, I have decided to keep it for
myself as the fee for my judgement."
