Read the passage given and answer the questions:
The term Migration is used to describe movements of animal populations. Used strictly, it
refers only to regular movements where the individuals or their progeny in the case of short-
lived insect migrants, return eventually to their starting place. Most migrations are seasonal,
but there are exceptions. The common eel, migrates from tropical seas to European rivers as
a larva and returns as a matured adult many years later. Many species of birds, turtles and
fishes travel thousands of kilometers in each directions, while the migrations of wildbeast
and bats cover only hundreds of kilometers and those of frogs are a few kilometers or less,
some birds also perform very short migrations, between different elevations on a mountain,
for example.
Seasonal migration makes the most or areas where the food is plentiful for only part of the
year. Many birds, sea fishes and whales move to warmer temperature in Arctic region in
spring and return to better climates at the end of summer.
