Read the passage given below and answer the questions that follow: While NASA spends billions of dollars on the Pathfinder program to retrieve rocks and soil from Mars, India has done a precious little to study its own collection of rocks from Mars. The Rocks from Mars which landed in Bihar as a meteorite fall in 1865 are not the only chunks of the red planet to have found their way here. One piece actually fell on a dog at Nakhla in Egypt and killed it a few decades ago. A part of the Bihar collection, called the Shergotti meteorites after the village it landed on,is believed to be the archival collection of the Geological Survey of India(GSI) But another part was taken away to the smithsonian Institute where chemical analysis confirmed that the meteorite actually originated in Mars, Ms Nirupama Raghavan, Director of the Nehru Planetarium here, said today. Ms Raghavan explained that an abundance of the element krypton in the rock was a clear marker for Martian rock and orange inclusions deep within indicated the presence of water. The Martian rocks which prompted scientist to announce that they had evidence that life existed on Mars through tubular “fossils” came from Antarctica, she said. Questions: a)What was the aim of NASA Pathfinder ? b) From where do India has its own collection of Martian rocks? c) How did the scientist find evidence of life on Mars? d)What was the evidence for water on mars?
