Read the passage given below and then answer the questions that follow :-
APJ Abdul Kalam mentions in his biography that in order to support his students, he began his career as a news-paper vendor. But he never missed his studies for his poor background.
His father was a boatman who took passenger from Ramesh waran to the holy island of Dhanaskodi . Once a terrible storm hit the coast and the sea took their boat away. But his father stayed calm and went about building another boat. In
1964 another cyclone struck and broke a part of Dhaneshkadi . His father lost
his boat again and he built another one. Later while building SLV Rockets and
when it ruined during the rocket lanch kalan recalled what his father had said
"The only way to survive is to face your troubles and rebuild your life".
When he was eight years old he decided to support his family. He would take tution for two hours. Then he would run to the railway station to collect the bundles of newspaper that came in the train and distributed in the town then he
would head home to get ready for school. In the evening, he collected the money paper distribution and did his homework His work taught him to calculate distance, amounts and the important on being time.
