• The Park has to be created by the side of the house.
• The length and breadth of the park is provided to us i.e. length = 40m and breadth = 30m
• As the park is rectangular in shape, we will be using this formula i.e. Length * Breadth to determine its Area.

∴ Area Of Park:

= Length * Breadth

= 40 * 30

= 1200 m²

• Now, we have to find the area of the Path, so we have to use the same formula i.e. Length * Breadth.

∴ Area Of Path :

= Length * Breadth

= 2 * 2

= 4 m²

• Now, the path has to be built inside and around the park.
• So, it has to be multiplied by 4 twice.

∴ Total Area of the Path :

= Area Of Path * 4 * 4

= 4  *  4  *  4

= 64 m²

∴ Cost of Construction :

= Total Area Of Path * 10

= 64 * 10

= Rs. 640.

Thus, The Total area of the available space is 1200 m², the area of the path is 4 m² and the cost of constructing the path will be Rs. 640.

          =36m

breadth=30-2-2

            =26m

Hence, the length and the breadth of the park will be 36m and 26m.

(3) area of the path will be the area of the space minus the area of the park,

$A=1200-36*26\\=264m^2$

Hence, the area of the path is 264sq.m.
