Read the Poem and answer the questions given below it.
He had his dream
He had his dream, and all through life,
Worked up to it through tail and strife
A float fore'er before his eyes,
If coloured for him all his skies.
The storm - cloud dark above his back
The calm and listless vault of blue
Took on Its hopeful hue.
it tinctared every possing beam
He labored hard and falled at last,
His swils too weak to bear blast,
The ranging tempests tore away
And sent his beating bark astray.
But what cared he
For wind or seal
He said, "The tempest will be short,
My bark will come to port.
He saw through every coud a gleam
He had his dream

Dear Diary

  • Today was the most exciting day of my life as I had visited my ancestral village and had the opportunity  to see farmers harvesting wheat crop. . I got to see how farmers plough the field , sow seeds and how they use irrigated water for the crops. While i had read these in the books it was really a lovely experience to see this in real.
  • Seeing the way the farmers toiled hard all through the day in the field makes us understand how valuable farmers are to this nation. It is because of them that we get our food for nourishment and health. They make responsible use of natural resources and utilise both primitive and very advanced technologies to accomplish this.
  • Farmer’s life are very tough comparing to our normal life and they have to work continuously whether it is day time or at the night time. But sad these people live a poor life, not all of them can afford a good house or living.
  • From this experience I learnt that, we people who depend on the farmers  for food which is our very important necessities in life to live, we must care enough to do for them in abundance in return. It would be my dream to do something for these farmers, when I grow up

Good Night Diary!

Student (Raju): Good Morning Sir!

Headmaster :  Good Morning Raju. You look so confused.. What happened?

Student: Sir, I had a doubt, I wanted to know what is a "testimonial". I happened to come across that word while i was reading a book

Headmaster:  A testimonial is a formal written description of someone's character,  qualities, and abilities.

Student : Why do someone have to give a testimonial?

Headmaster: Usually testimonials are asked for by companies from people who apply for jobs in that company. Testimonials support your credibility and expertise level. They also strengthen your reputation by expressing the trust that other people have in you.

Student: Is testimonial only meant for that purpose?

Headmaster: Not not at all! It can be used for several purposes. Like for example, if you are planning to leave school, I may give a testimonial about your character,  qualities, and abilities, which will be helpful for the admission process

Student: But I had read about testimonial related  to some product. What does that mean?

Headmaster: That is a testimonial about  a product/service extolling the virtue of a product/service. They, along with the product reviews and 'trust ratings' show that the product's value and its reliability

Student: That's very interesting! I am glad that I learnt a new word. Now I suppose if I need a testimonial from you Sir, you would give me a positive testimonial!

Headmaster: Yes, sure! provided you maintain  and uphold your good qualities and character.

Student: Thank you Sir!
