=> 4x² - 32x + 28 = 0

=> x² - 8x + 7 = 0

=> (x - 7)(x - 1) = 0

=> x = 7 or 1

But since x cannot be 7, x = 1 m.

Thus the width of path = 1 m.

Length of garden = 10 - 2 = 8 m.

Breadth of garden = 6 - 2 = 4 m.
