Read the radius and height of a cylinder are in ratio 7:2 if the volume of the cylinder is 8316 cm cube find the TSA of the cylinder.

Let the meet of ratio be x.

Volume of cylinder = 8316

pi * r^2 * h = 8316

22/7 * (7x)^2 * 2x = 8316

22/7 * 49x^2 * 2x = 8316

308 x^3 = 8316

x^3 = 8316/308 = 27

x= 3cm

Hence radius = 7x = 7*3=21cm and
Height = 2x = 2*3=6cm.

Since TSA of cylinder = 2*pi*r (r+h)

= 2*22/7 * 21 *(21+6)

= 132* 27cm^2

= 3564cm^2.
