Answer:

weight of truck=7200kg

intial velocity of truck,u=0

displacement of truck=1km=1000m

time taken by truck=60s

final velocity of truck,v=1000/60=16.67m/s

We know that: v=u+at

therefore,a=v-u/t=16.67/60=0.278m/s^2

now, force=mass*acceleration=7200*0.278=2000N

Given:-

Initial velocity(u)=0 (as it was in rest initially)

Distance travelled(s)= 1km=1000m

Time taken(t)=60s

Mass of the truck(M)=7200kg

To find:-

i.Acceleration of the truck(a)

ii.Magnitude of net force(F)

Solution:-

By using the 2nd equation of motion i.e.

s = ut +  \frac{1}{2} a {t}^{2}

we get-------

1000=0×60+1/2×a×(60)²

1000=1800a

a=1000/1800

a=5/9m/s²

By,the 2nd law of motion,we get-----

F=Ma

F=7200×5/9

F=800×5

F=4000N

Thus,acceleration of the truck is 5/9m/s² and the magnitude of net force is 4000N
