There was once a wise king who ruled over a large and prosperous kingdom. The king was a very contended man and had no worldly desires. However, he was troubled that he had no heir to the throne. He had decided to renounce the world and go and seek the blessings of his 'guru'. But he could not leave till he had found someone to succeed him. One day the king sent a word throughout his kingdom that the would meet his subjects and listen to their grievances. On the appointed day, he held an open court in the royal garden.
