maps are very useful in finding out the way to travel .It is very useful for truckers and travelers to find out that which way leads to their final destination
Maps are used for the various activities, in our times. Few of the activities are mentioned below:
1. Maps are broadly used for the planning and development of different regions, cities and nations.
2. Planning demands classification of the resources accessible in a region and the deficiency faced by it. For example, a map of a region having very low levels of drinking water can be drawn. Furthermore, various thematic maps showing resources of a region can be used for comparison and based on the comparison, plausible resolutions can be made.
3. Plan of agricultural development, the establishment of industries, constructing roads and hospitals and schools are also carried out with the help of maps.
4. Maps are also used by organisations to plan their business and trade. For example, a mobile phone company that wants to extend its network in a region will require maps of villages, towns, hills and forests to set up microwave towers.
