He joined the Indian space Research organization (ISRO). He is widely known as the “Missile Man of
India as the contributed a lot towards developing missiles and space rockets. His great mind and
inventions have made our country proud all over the world.
Kalam became the 11" president of India. He was a man of vision and ideas who always aimed at the
greater development of India. He also wrote a book called India 2020 with ideas and actions to take India
forward.
He says that the real gift of a country is the younger generation – students and children. He was always
motivated and inspired by their ideas and energy. Kalam passed away while giving a lecture at a college is
July 2015.
