1. Actually ,the young seagull wanted to join the company of his family because he loves his family ,his fear is just of his first flight but not of the family ,so sometimes just in order to join his family in flight he somehow taken a little run forward but just afraid that his wings will not support him in his first.

2.Answer:His parents,his brothers and sister dont give him food because they want him to make an attempt to fly on his own and catch fish by himself. They dont want to see him fearful and coward.

3. Answer:The seagulls family was worried about him. They were didactic and there attitude towards the young seagull through love and threat boosted his courage and made him venture on his first flight..

4. The young seagull was afraid of flying. He thought that he would fall into the vast expanse of sea beneath the cliff. When he was in flight, a monstrous terror seized him and his heart stood still. After a moment, his fear disappeared and realised that he could fly.

5.Answer. the purpose of author behind writing the story : 'His first flight' story excellently explains the importance of things like independence, self courage and confidence. Also, it shows the need for motivation to reach our goals.

6. Answer. At the beginning of the story, the young seagull can be observed as being a coward and lacking confidence in himself. While learning to fly he was afraid of trying to fly. ... This was the difference between the young seagull as compared from the beginning to the end of the story.

7. the sentence in the first paragraph which shows cause and effect is:"he fell certain that his wings would never support him, so he bent his head and ran away back to the little hole under the ledge where he slept at night. "
