Reading for Pleasure is a Hobby We are Losing
I have many hobbies. Some of them are dancing, painting, collecting stamps etc. But the hobby which I like the most is reading. We read everyday. We read newspapers, posters, signs, advertisements, documents, important papers; we also read books such as history, geography, english and science at school and for studying. These types of reading provides us information and knowledge and thus it improves our general knowledge. So this type of reading is sometimes called reading for knowledge. I, being an avid reader, like to read for pleasure. Reading for pleasure includes reading novels, stories, and articles on topics that interest us, such as humor, horror, mystery, romance, thrill etc. There must be uncountable number of books that humans read for pleasure and anathor uncountable number of books that are being written by brilliant authors and writers today. Reading for pleasure is the right term for reading novels and stories on topics that we like because they really do give us pleasure and surely re-freshen our minds. In today's world, which is full of competion and superiority, everyone is in the legue of proving oneself to be the 'Best'. Everyone is very busy and do not have the time to continue or to explore their hobbies and talents. Reading for pleasure is nowadays in the line to become a long lost hobby among the adults, the youth and even the children! There is a lot of competion among the adults but the youth and the children should be separated from such things. Everyone must take some time off their busy routines and read for pleasure. Children of this generation should get more involved in reading and reading for pleasure must be made a part of their lives for it is the best hobby one can have. Everyone starts by being a reader and I am very proud of myself for being a reader. I hope to spread this hobby among my friends and juniors so that they may also experience the joy of reading.
