(1) My name is Kailash Borade. I work as a peon at the Auger Duury in Goregaon, a suburb of
Mumbai. The road I take to my work runs through the Sanjay Gandhi National Park, which is the
only wildlife reserve in the world that is in the middle of a bustling metropolis
(2) One Monday morning in October 2012. I was riding my motorbike as usual on my way to the
dairy. It was early, so there was not much traffic, except for a couple of auto-rickshaws which
were some distance behind me.
