Democracry means people can elect their representatives without discrimination of caste,sex etc.Value of vote of a servent and an owner is same that is 1 person , 1 vote , 1 value.Unless people have equal right to vote, i.e. universal adult franchise , a country cant be said democratic because it doesnt have main feature of democracy.

Democracy is the power of ppl. Here ppl have the right to participate in in the affairs of the government and are able to choose their own representative. How can this equality of rights be possible if ppl do not have equal rights to vote? UAF give the citizens of a democracy, the power to have 1 vote irrespdctive oc religion or caste. Democracy is a festival of people, whic is not possible without Universal adult franchise.
