I am against the motion that reality shows are a waste of time and talent-:
- Reality shows act as a means of providing employment opportunities to so many people be it instrument players, cameramen, video editors, scriptwriters, makeup artists, costume designers, choreographers and vocal coaches.
- Along with it, reality shows give recognition to hidden talents by giving and providing the people who are contestants a platform to showcase their talent which makes them reach a larger audience and gain recognition.
- These reality shows have inspired people to take up music and dance as mainstream career options and earn a living out of them. These shows also encourage people from socially and economically weaker backgrounds to come to the forefront and showcase their skills which could help them emerge can recognised personalities because of their special talents.
- It is not a waste of time rather is a boon. It provides the audience with entertainment as it includes music or dance performances, a humorous script and real-time experiences.
- A large number of audiences prefer to watch these shows as they get to watch real talent and also provide a few recognised personalities to mentor the contestants in the form of judges who guide them throughout their journey on the show.
- There might be some business point of view involved with the concept of telecasting these shows but moreover, the major reason is to provide the nation with emerging talents.
