Yes,the narrator would have definitely reconsidered this idea after the second visit. He surely have changed his mind. Everybody in the town knew how the hack driver had fooled him. He could never face their mocking looks. And if Oliver Lutkins was so cunning ,others in the town could be no less.
Explanation: Although he didn't lose hope and still had the courage to go back and study law.Even after all the chaos he didn't lose heart.He felt that it was much better in a town that in the city.
