The job description of astronauts requires them to go into space. Space is completely different area from earth which poses different hurdles in every possible way. The astronauts are required to go intensive training in order to become apt to the circumstances and strict atmosphere they are going to face there. The living conditions are completely different there, the clothing, even breathing is not according to human nature. They are required to learn the conditions and prepare themselves for forth coming scenario.
