Why is it difficult to get a government job?

If you're talking from the Indian point of view, it is difficult to get a govt job because firstly, there are way too many people who apply for the job and seats are few. So the competition is very high. Only the top level students can get the seats. Secondly, since it is the government which is very corrupt in India, many people get in through the back door either by bribing the officials or through some close person who is a friend of the officials. And third, because of the minority quota, it is difficult for the general caste to get a govt job easily.
