sorry...the correct option is b asĀ Because if "some handles are cups" is possible then "some handles are not cup" is also possible andĀ Its not necessary that all handles are cup ....

Configuration: That's the answer I came across my textbook as well, but i don't quite understand it. Can we not say option b? When it is said that all tubes are handles, doesn't it make sense that "Some handles are tubes" which makes "Some handles are not cups" true?
Configuration: Pls ans
dainvincible1: i'm not getting u...i found this in my book so i wrote it
dainvincible1: i've changed my answer ....i'm confused now
dainvincible1: alright..i was having doubts about ths question so i searched in the net but it seems option d is correct as the reasom says Both the premises are A type propositions. So, in either, the middle term 'handles' forming the predicate is not distributed. Since the middle term is not distributed even once in the premises, no definite conclusion follows ......i'm confused now if it's option d or b

Correct option is B.

Only second conclusion is perfect.

All cups are handles.
But this doesn't mean all handles will be cups!

Consider this example.
All apples are fruits but all fruits are not apples!!
Similarly your question follows this.
