To understand India is a developing country or not first we have to understand what is developed country and what is developing country....??
Any country is considered as developed country if most of the population must be employed in any sector, have high per-capita income, people are educated, skilled, good standard of living, no one in below poverty line and get facilities like good and clean water for drinking, food for eating, security, rights from government etc. are considered as the characteristics of developed country.
But in developing countries most of the people are uneducated due to this it was difficult for them to get jobs. Per-capita income was also low. People are unskilled and their living standard was also not so good. They were unable to get facilities like clean water for drinking, food, security etc. As they are uneducated. So, that's mean they don't know about their rights, due to this rich people take advantage of them. These are the characteristics of developing countries.
→ From above we can say that India is a developing country not a developed country. Because most of the people of india are uneducated, unskilled, their living standard was also not so good. As we can see in our daily life, that many people sleep on footpaths. They don't got proper water, food and security etc.
So, India is considered as developing country.
