reasons for not able to see bright colours in dim light

Bright colors need more light to be seen bright

colour of an object is perceived by cone cells of retina ,which are not able to function in dim light.
in dim light our ability to see the surrounding depends on rod cells.Rod cells develop only black and white image in brain.
