I was having a conversation with my brother about the various career options that I have open for me. He was telling me about options like being a translator and an editor. He was looking up information for me online when he started checking his messages. Though he continued his conversation with me, I knew that he was struggling to handle both the tasks. The rate of his utterances slowed down considerably.
The communication gradually lost its effectiveness and at one point, came to a complete stop. The communication breakdown here took place because my brother was trying to multitask. He stopped paying attention to the conversation.
