Good morning my dear students; today I am going to talk to you about malaria and dengue as these fatal disease strike people during the months of September and October the most. Thousands of people are infected every year with these diseases and the fatality rate is quite high.
So I am going to talk about prevention measures to stay safe from these two monsters. Both the diseases are caused by several species of mosquitoes. Though effective medication is available, but it is quite expensive.
Wise men have always said: “Prevention is better than cure.’ Dengue and malaria can be kept by not letting any water logging. Since every year after the torrential rains during the monsoons, lots of water gets logged. The aedes and aegypti types of the mosquitoes proliferate in logged water. Make sure there is no old water in coolers, or any other containers in or around your homes. Secondly, keep your body as much covered as is possible by wearing full sleeve shirts and shoes.

You all are aware that the recent rains and concurrent water logging have increased the risk of malaria and dengue. The school has taken steps to prevent Mosquito breeding it and around the school. Malaria and dengue are deadly diseases transmitted through mosquito.
The disease is also contagious by physical touch and also water borne. If anyone is experiencing tiredness or having high fever, please go to the dispensary so that necessary precautions can be taken so that the flu is not spread to others.
Keep your surroundings clean and ensure that the water you drink is clean. Do not go to unhygienic places. The school has also cleaned the surroundings and the toilets. Stop littering, close any open waters and don't provide the suitable environment for the mosquito to breed.
You can always approach the dispensary if you have any symptoms and immediate care will be provided.
