World Environment Day was celebrated in Mahadevi Birla Shishu Vihar school with a lot of pomp and enthusiasm. 50 children were asked to bring saplings which were planted at the school courtyard. The principal of the school, Mrs Sarkar came forward to brace the occasion and she herself watered all the plants in the school lawn. Teachers and students organized a cultural event where they dressed up as elements of nature and motivated everyone to preserve them instead of polluting them. Few students also gave speech about the importance of plants and why we should not support deforestation. Everyone was dressed in shades of green to promote afforestation.
At the end the principal spoke about the importance of preserving the mothernature and saving our resources for future generation. The event went off quite well

ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION DRIVE: TREE PLANTATION
Trees are an important part of our survival on earth. But most of our country economy is dependent upon trees that are: Match industries, paper industries, and rubber industries. The tree provides us with oxygen and makes our life possible on earth. Trees consume the carbon dioxide and provide us with food, shelter, home, money, medicines, and what not.
Trees are also the source of rain for us as they attract clouds. Trees help in preventing pollution and keeps the environment fresh. If we imagine a world without trees, life is impossible. They are true friends of humanity. One should act responsibly and should prevent the act of deforestation for the sake of personal motive. Therefore, we should save trees and honor them in order to save the environment and life.
A tree plantation drive was observed at XYZ public school on 5th June on the occasion of Earth Day. The main aim of this drive was to spread and create awareness to protect the environment from degrading. The programme started with an influential speech from our principal on the effects of global warming and the importance of trees in our lives. Upon her instructions, the program further followed by students from each class planting saplings in the campus. In the group of five students, each group bought one sapling. The event was a success as each student contributed profoundly for this day.
