MANGALURU: India’s first 3D planetarium with 5.1 theatre surround sound system, being built at Pilikula here, will be ready for inauguration in October.
Mangaluru City South MLA J R Lobo said that the Rs 35.96 crore Swami Vivekananda Planetarium being built at Pilikula Nisargadhama, about 10km from here, is expected to complete by September-end and the trial run will begin in the first week of October. “The centre will be thrown open for public by the end of October,’’ he added.
