C. Negotiable Instruments (Amendment) Bill

According to the Shiv Pratap Shukla, Minister of State for Finance stated that 16 lakh cheque bouncing problems are prevailing in the lower courts and 35 thousand problems of cheque bouncing are still pending in the higher courts. The interim payment will not surpass 20% of the cheque amount and should be paid by drawer in the span of 60 days after the order of the trial court to pay for the losses.
