Hill station are areas that are found difficult to reach and are surrounded by beautiful meadows and cloud soaring mountains. I recently got a chance to visit a hill station myself in Shimla and Nainital. But I was surprised to see the poor environmental conditions there. Huge piles of garbage were lying among empty bottles scattered on the roads.
We, as a nation should save the pristine beauty of such areas. These are not only tourist spots but also are pride for a country. We should raise many awareness campaigns to prevent people from littering and polluting these areas. They give a good impression to the foreign tourists about India and are a serene place for Indian nations to unwind every year.
Answer:
Pollution at Hill Stations
By Simran
Some mountainous states such as Himachal Pradesh, Utrakhand, Nagaland, Mizoram, etc. have been left unpolluted and untarnished by the menace of pollution. People go the hill stations in these states to refresh and rejuvenate themselves. However, the visitors leave huge piles of garbage behind them.
Piles of heaps of plastic bags, disposable glasses, plates, and wrappers reduce the beauty of these hill stations. Though the plastic is banned, yet people use it at hill stations. The Government should make stricter rules to preserve the beauty and purity of hill stations.
All efforts should be made to preserve clear rills, rivers, lakes and brooks. People should also not litter these beautiful paradises of beauty.
