The Cultural Feista 2k20
Our locality organized a cultural feista(festival) last week by the Lions club. The key purpose behind the event was to raise funds for the victims of Assam and Bihar floods and also to encourage the talent of students. The festival took place in the community hall. It continued from 10 in the morning to 5 in the evening. The festival was inaugurated by the M.L.A of our area and he praised the organizer(Lions club) for taking the initiative of such a humanitarian act. A number of cultural activities including folk-dance, singing competition, drama, etc. took place. I and some other students of my class were selected to take part in this event to represent our school and raise funds for this noble cause. We prepared a drama representing the 'inhumanity and ignorance displayed by the modern world towards needy and poor in this rat race of proving oneself better than the other.' This drama was able to touch the audience's heart and win their appreciation as well as funds. This allowed us to make the biggest contribution of Rs. 50,000 for the flood victims. Our principal ma'am was really glad to hear this news and appreciated us for taking part in it.
