Recently, you came across an article stating- ‘Abuse of power and corruption is not new- be it in government offices or private sectors .Also, to add the old Bollywood nepotism (favouritism) conspiracy theory, too, has reared its head. Nepotism, is no longer just harmless ragging or collegiate groupism. What is particularly alarming is the toxic levels that this ‘othering’ has reached. Since our 34 years of independence, there has been outright and open corruption by both Governments who have been placed to manage the affairs and develop this country economically, educationally, politically and otherwise. We have seen the privilege given to some individuals to manage the affairs of this country being misused, abused and dynasties created, some have enriched themselves and their cronies and in turn the very people who have elected them to serve have been neglected and the country is saddled with enormous debts which our children and grandchildren will have to repay. We must agree that it is unfair for educated individuals with the right qualification deserving jobs but not getting them due to nepotism being displayed.’ Based on the above excerpt, write a Letter to the Editor, Deccan Chronicle, stating your views on how abuse of power, corruption and biasness in different spheres of society is hindering the true development of the country and proving it to be detrimental towards a progressive mind set.

Subject: Detrimental Affects of Abuse of Power.
Respected Sir,
I am Sandhaya, a resident of Priyadarshni Vihar. Recently I read an article that talked about how about of power and Nepotism is spreading like a cancer in all spheres of sectors.
We witness this abuse of power in everyday and all spheres of sectores, be it government, private, film industry, or educational sector, it is found everywhere. In governmental sectors, people in position try to bring their cronies and menage to the positions they less deserve. They try to fill the positions with their known members which leave less opportunity for the real and talents to come forward. This is not only seen in government sectors but educational and film industry as well. Nepotism is the word that is being in news these days because of the favoritism being displayed in film industry. This abuse of power and nepotism is becoming like a cancer killinng the true talents of the country, who have the mental ability to take the nation forward. And, as a country we should do something for it.
I hope through the means of your esteem column, I would be able to reach my country's brothers and sisters and we will all work to stop this.
Thanking You
Yours Sincerely
Sandhaya
