Subject: Apathy towards Animals
Sir:
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I want to express my deep anguish over the flagrant cruelty against animals in our society. I became very upset when last week I saw some people teasing stray animals on road. Some cows and oxen were grazing by the road, and a few young boys were pulling their tails and disturbing them. Can’t these animals be just left on their own? The condition of other animals is equally deplorable. Every other day we can see the mangled bodies of dogs, cats, buffalos, mules, etc. on the roads.
The other day I was reading an article on internet. I came to know that cruelty against animals is illegal in our country! According to the Constitution of India: “It is the fundamental duty of every citizen of India to have compassion for all living creatures. Article 51A (g).” There is another law that says, “To kill or maim any animal, including stray animals, is a punishable offence. IPC Sections 428 and 429.”
Through the columns of your reputed daily, I appeal to the people, the Animal Welfare Societies, and the concerned Ministry and government authorities to work concertedly to look into the plight of animals. After all they are our fellow partners in existence. It is our responsibility to look after them. I hope you will help me in sensitizing the people as well as the concerned authorities.

Teasing the stray animals are really bad activity and the trespassers should be avoid do the activity so.
The Hinustan time has put forth several measurements taken against this activity.
So, this should consider as offense and able to give care for the stray animals on the road. You could discourage the people who hit the stray animals.
The action may be taken severely.
