Recently you visited old age home in shimla. You met old people who were lonely and sick. Their children had left them to fend for themselves. When you talked to them, you felt bad about the fact that they were not living with their children. Write about your experiences in a diary entry.

Today, I made a visit to St Paul's Nursing Home. Basically an old age home. I knew it was gonna be tough, judging from the experiences I'd heard from my friends. As I entered, the manager of the organization greeted me with a warm welcome and volunteered to show me around. He talked about how adults would just leave their parents/older relatives here and never come back to see them again. I already started developing tears. Adults, who were brought up with full heart and care were leaving their parents who did everything to raise them into good citizens. I met up with a few of the inmates. They were all looking happy for some reason. I wondered if the smiling faces were put up just to hide their sadness. That's when the manager said that the team did everything they could to help them out of their situation and to look at the brighter side of life. He told that it was initially hard, to just forget about their loved ones. But here they were, mingling with one another. As I went up to talk to them, I suddenly regretted it as many started to cry when they opened up. But eventually they concluded saying that they were in a way happy, being able to be around other people who had the same story to tell. To be able to know the fact that they weren't the only ones suffering this way. I ended the visit with a prayer together with all the members. As I drove back, I learnt that finding someone else with the same situation you faced is priceless. That I'd need to be there with my parents the same way they were always there to look out for me. And that is something I'll never forget.
