When I Also Learnt Nothing Is Impossible

Jesus gave man the secret to do the impossible when he said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” All great men who dared to do the impossible, they take help of the divine powers available for everyone. Albert Einstein, Charles Darwin, Isaac Newton, Socrates, Thomas Edison, Abraham Lincoln, Charlie Chaplin, Henry Ford, Bill Gates, Walt Disney, Helen Keller, Booker T. Washington, Mahatma Gandhi, and all the other known and unknown men and women who did the impossible were men and women of conviction, commitment, dedication, and high ideals.

I also had my encounter with the impossible when I was

studying in 10th standard. I was very sad, upset and depressed that

day after my result of SA1. I had done very badly in all the major subjects. My

father was mad at me; he was not in favour of continuing my education. With

mother's intervention he allowed me to prove that I could do well in my

studies.

I promised to myself I would work very hard to improve my

grades. I just followed the basics. I did not waste my single moment in useless

distractions. I just studied, studied, and studied. I made a time table, and

conscientiously stuck to it. I burnt not only the midnight oil, but the early

morning oil also. At school I stayed focused all the time. I did not watch TV

at all. Thus working I realized, if a student utilizes his time optimally, he

can do wonders. TV, friends, and loafing around are the greatest enemies of all

the students. I realized studies are not difficult at all; developing the right

attitude to studies, and focusing our mind on studies is difficult.

Hard work really pays off and that too with huge dividends.

Not only I improved my knowledge, I secured A1 in all the subjects. My parents,

my teachers, and friends were so happy. I was the happiest of all. This happiness

of hard-earned achievement was thousand times sweeter than shallow pleasures of

distractions. Thus, I too took the help of favourable powers to do the

impossible.
